Youth Camp 2008
17 – 19 October 2008

“To Love one another … is to fulfil the whole Law” (Romans 13:8-10)

On the weekend of the 17th to the 19th of October 2008, a group of 58 youth from our community attended the CCCB Youth Camp at Maranatha Recreation Centre, Yandina. The Romans passage above was used as the theme and focus for the camp. The Camp featured Taize Prayer, fun and games, High Ropes, Trust Walk, Bible Study, Morning Prayers, Mass, and Talks on the theme of Love by Andrew, Carlos, Ben and Regina, and Sister Mary-Joseph.

17 October – CAMP DAY 1 – Die

We gathered together for a meal before heading off together in a bus
Father Chan and many from the community were there to pray with us
Our families and many parents were there to farewell us
First activity upon arrival at camp site… Ice-breaker games!!
Taizé prayer session
People burnt their ‘letters to God’ as an offering
Midnight BBQ
Fishballs and marshmallows (and in some cases a mixture of both!)
